Logistics operator
A European distribution operator running 340 cameras across nine sites. Its unmanned service tunnels and perimeter were reviewed by hand the morning after an incident — if anyone thought to look. Omnisearch runs inside the perimeter, and now the review is a question instead of a shift.
Footage nobody had time to watch
The operator retained 30 days of footage across 340 cameras — roughly 8,000 hours arriving every day. The control room had four screens and two officers per shift. In practice, footage was watched only after something had already gone wrong, and finding the relevant minutes meant scrubbing a timeline by hand while a claim sat open.
Their existing VMS could search by camera and by time. It could not answer a question. Nobody could ask it who had walked the service underpass twice in one night.
Two officers, 340 cameras
A control room can watch four feeds. The rest is recorded and hoped for.
Review happened after the fact
Footage was opened once a claim or an incident forced someone to look.
The VMS could not be asked
Search by camera and by time only. No way to ask which vehicle, or which person.
Nothing could leave the site
Any cloud analytics product was ruled out before the first meeting.
Ask the night shift what happened
One real query against a single night at one site. Pick a result to jump the camera and the incident log to that moment.

Unknown person enters the service underpass
The underpass links the yard to the goods lift and carries no scheduled foot traffic after 22:00. Access control logged no badge event at either end.
Face clustered as unknown — no match against the enrolled staff or contractor sets, all on premise.
Cross-referenced with the access control log, which recorded no badge event at either door.
Deployed inside the perimeter, indexing as it records
Omnisearch was installed on the operator’s own hardware in March 2025, reading from the existing VMS. No footage leaves the site and no outbound call is made — the install is air-gapped, and passed the operator’s penetration test on the first pass. Faces, vehicles, objects and motion are extracted per frame as the recording lands, so a question asked at 07:00 covers the shift that finished an hour earlier.
Install
Runs on the operator’s own servers, reading from the VMS already in place.
Extract
Faces, people, carried objects, door state and motion pulled per frame as footage lands.
Alert
Rules fire on unknown faces, declared blackout windows and duration breaches.
Review
One officer asks a question in plain language and gets timecoded evidence back.
“We did not buy this to catch people. We bought it because a claim used to cost us two officers for a day and we still could not say what happened. Now one person answers it before the morning meeting, and the footage never leaves the building.”
What Omnisearch brought
No outbound calls and no third-party services. Passed penetration testing on the first pass.
Twelve cameras at a site are searched as a single night, not twelve separate recordings.
A claim that consumed two officers for a day is now answered before the morning meeting.
Run it on your own hardware.
Start with one site and a week of footage. We index it inside your perimeter, you ask it questions, then we talk about the rest.
