Omnisearch CTO, Matej Ferencevic, attended the IBC 2024 event in Amsterdam, held from September 13th to 16th. The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) is a premier global event for professionals in the entertainment, media, and technology industries. It serves as a key platform for unveiling the latest innovations and trends shaping the future of these sectors.
At IBC 2024, the spotlight was on how cutting-edge technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), are transforming media workflows. The event brought together industry leaders, creators, and tech professionals to explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth in the global media and entertainment landscape.
During the event, Matej Ferencevic showcased Omnisearch’s AI-driven multimodal search technology, which has already been successfully implemented by major Croatian media companies. This technology is designed to optimize archival processes and speech-to-text conversion for both pre-recorded and real-time footage. Omnisearch’s advanced AI tools allow users to quickly locate specific occurrences—such as faces, objects, logos, landmarks, or text—within video content.
One of the standout features of Omnisearch's technology is its ability to process video at 10x the speed of real-time, using standard GPU configurations, and even faster with enhanced resource allocation. This capability has significantly improved content discovery and management for media companies, making Omnisearch a leading player in the AI-powered media tech space.
The IBC 2024 convention highlighted the vital role of AI in driving innovation in the media industry, and with companies like Omnisearch leading the way, the future of content discovery is set to be faster, more efficient, and more intuitive than ever before.
